Sales in Italy and abroad.
Maestro Andrea Fiorini was born in Alatri (province of Frosinone) on 1 August 1978 and lives in Veroli.
At the age of 20, from 2000 to 2003, he attended the Gubbio School of Violin Making, where he earned his Diploma as Master Violin and Bow Maker under the guidance of Maestro Marcello di Sante Cellini and of the school's founder, Maestro Guerriero Spataffi.
As soon as he finished his studies, he moved to Madrid, home town of Maestro José María Lozano, restorer and founder of "OLD WOOD 1700", one of the most important organisations devoted to the study and research of 18th-century varnishing techniques.
During his apprenticeship in Maestro Lozano's workshop he learned varnishing techniques and recipes, studied them in depth and developed his own varnish, based on linseed oil and Baltic amber, which he uses on all of his instruments.
Back in Italy, he continued to broaden his experience through several specialisation courses, including those held by the Florentine masters Paolo Sorgentone and Michele Mecatti, earning certificates in the set-up and conservation of instruments.
His time in Florence also led him to meet Maestro Gabriele Natali of Pistoia, one of Italy's finest copyists and antiquing specialists, beginning a long collaboration and exchange that continues to this day.
In 2005–2006 he joined "Liutarte" and moved to its Neapolitan workshop in San Domenico Maggiore, Naples, where instruments are built in the tradition of the Gagliano family school, whose founder, Alessandro, was a pupil of Stradivari.
Captivated by these new shapes and models, he made them the starting point of his own path of study and interpretation, with excellent results, offering the violin-making market instrument forms that are a genuine alternative to the classic Cremonese standard.
Since 2006 Maestro Andrea Fiorini has lived and worked in Veroli. Drawing on everything he has learned over the years, he is committed to putting down roots in his own community and sharing his passion and craftsmanship with everyone.
